I wrote this song about 20 years ago, while I was living in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, circa 2001 - 2002. It was a beautiful night just hanging out in the center of town playing music by the water and trading songs with some of the locals. She was visiting from the island of Isabella and we connected for only one night only, never to see her again. I wrote the whole song the very next day, and the rest is history.
It appeared on Hot Day's first album Cool as Tuesday (2004) and was a staple in the band's repertoire throughout its tenure. Here is ODB Project's take on this old HDATZ classic. Enjoy!
